Decosür Coloured Decorative Coating
Definition: A water-based, matt exterior facade coating with an acrylic copolymer binder, applied and patterned with a fine-pattern coral texture roller.
Properties: A slow-drying exterior facade coating strong enough to withstand for many years the harmful effects of sunlight, rain, snow and industrial pollution.
Area of Application: Used as a topcoat material on the exterior facades of all buildings, and in particular on exterior facades to which MANTOSÜR ready-to-use thermal insulation plaster has been applied.
Surface Preparation: On surfaces being coated for the first time, dirty or loose material, and on previously painted surfaces, blistered or dusty areas, should be cleaned off and primed if necessary. Any cracks should be repaired and filled with FINISHING COAT.
Application Method: Application in a single coat is recommended. During application, ensure that the surface and air temperatures are at least +5°C and at most +35°C. Do not apply on MANTOSÜR that has not fully dried, in the rain, in direct sunlight or in strong wind. Apply in layers of even thickness. The pattern should be created by moving the roller in one direction at a constant speed. As drying is faster in windy and hot weather, to avoid joint lines on large surfaces, areas that can be completed in one stage should be selected with the building's aesthetics in mind, masked off with tape, and the work carried out continuously without interruption.
- DECOSÜR should be mixed thoroughly until it reaches a homogeneous consistency.
- DECOSÜR should be spread over the entire surface in an even thickness with a coral texture roller.
- While DECOSÜR is still wet, the pattern should be applied from top to bottom with the coral texture roller. Before application, the coral texture roller should be saturated with the material. To avoid spoiling the pattern, take care that the roller is neither overloaded nor allowed to dry.
- Adhesive tapes should be carefully removed before DECOSÜR hardens.
- The stated times apply at a surface and ambient temperature of 20 °C; times are longer at lower temperatures and shorter at higher temperatures.
- Tools Used: An exterior facade roller is recommended for spreading and a coral texture roller for patterning. Thinning / Mixing Ratio: Ready to use; do not thin.
- Coverage (Coatable Area): Approximately 1-1,5 m2/kg in a single coat.
- Drying Time: (at 20°C and 50% relative humidity) Drying is complete in 1- 3 hours.
- Storage conditions: Can be stored for 1 year in closed packaging, out of direct sunlight, between 5-35°C. Keep the container closed when not in use. Protect from frost.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- To avoid differences in colour shade, take care to use products with the same BATCH NUMBER and PRODUCTION DATE on each facade.
- During the rainy season, on rainy days, or if rain falls after application, the exterior facade should be protected or the application should not be carried out.
- When working in strong wind or in direct sun on very hot days, pay attention to the water ratio, work continuously, divide large surfaces into sections with tape, or do not carry out the application.
- After application, all tools used should be washed with water before they dry. Never apply on wet or damp surfaces.
