STROSÜR 2K WATERPROOFING MORTAR

DEFINITION:
A fully elastic, cement- and acrylic-based waterproofing mortar for interior and exterior use, containing an additive that makes it watertight and improves its workability.

GENERAL PROPERTIES:

• Used in horizontal and vertical applications, indoors and outdoors.
• Can be applied with confidence thanks to its superior adhesion and elastomeric properties.
• Resistant to freeze–thaw.
• Can be used in wet areas such as terraces, water tanks and pools, provided that the surfaces are protected.
• An ideal waterproofing material prior to ceramic tiling or screed.
• Applied to concrete and cement-based surfaces.
• Offers high bonding strength.
• Non-corrosive to reinforcement or steel.
• Can be applied by brush, trowel, roller or spray.

AREAS OF USE:

• Renewing old surfaces.
• Wet areas such as bathrooms, showers and WCs.
• Terraces, water tanks, basements and balconies.
• Protecting concrete surfaces against carbonation and chlorine.
• Concrete surfaces close to the sea and walkways.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

• Before use, ensure that the surface is free of any residues that could prevent adhesion, and that it is dry and sound. Any defects on the surfaces to be treated should be corrected with DECOSUR FINISHING PLASTER.
• The surface to be treated should be protected from rain and dust for 1 day.
• The surface to be treated should be washed 6 hours beforehand and dampened immediately before application.
• A suitable primer must be used on highly absorbent surfaces.
• Slowly pour the 25 kg powder component into the 8 lt liquid component and mix thoroughly until no lumps remain. The mixture should be prepared using a 400-600 rpm mixer.
• Mixing continues for an average of 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Once homogeneous, the product is ready for use.
• The prepared mortar should be applied to the substrate in 2 coats using a roller and brush. The coats should be applied perpendicular to each other. Allow at least 5-6 hours between coats, depending on the temperature. A total application thickness of 2 coats will be sufficient. A 3rd coat may be applied if necessary.
• Take care that the completed application is not exposed to outdoor conditions for 24 hours.

• Shelf life: 12 months in unopened packaging in a dry environment.
• Application temperature: between +5°C and +35°C.
• Mixing ratio: 8 lt liquid / 25 kg powder
• Pot life: 1 hour
• Temperature resistance: between -20°C and +80°C.
• Valid when the 2 components are applied together in accordance with the application instructions.

• Component A: 25 kg polyethylene-reinforced kraft bag
• Component B: 8 kg polyethylene drum

CONSUMPTION:

• 1. Coat: 1,5 kg/m² mixture
• 1. Coat: 1,0 kg/m² mixture

STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store in the original packaging in a dry environment between +5°C and +30°C, protected from frost. Do not stack more than 2 pallets on top of each other.

• Alkaline, as it is cement-based.
• In case of skin contact, wash with plenty of water.
• In case of eye contact, consult a doctor.
• Store out of the reach of children.
